Medical Office Assistant (MOA) | Permanent Position

Genius Medical is a modern and growing family practice in Kelowna’s Pandosy area. We are seeking a reliable, polished, and highly motivated Medical Office Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, learns quickly, and wants to build a long-term career within an excellent clinical environment. Previous MOA experience is welcome, but it is not essential—we are equally interested in capable, hard-working candidates with medical knowledge, strong professionalism, and a genuine willingness to learn.
We provide structured onboarding, training on TELUS CHR and clinic workflows, and ongoing support. This is a busy, hands-on role requiring sound judgement, initiative, accuracy, and a consistently professional approach.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and visitors professionally
- Managing phones, appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and clinic correspondence
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records while protecting patient privacy
- Supporting patient check-in/check-out, payments, scanning, filing, and data entry
- Communicating clearly and appropriately with patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other care partners
- Assisting with clinic organization, supplies, inventory, equipment checks, and day-to-day administrative operations
- Supporting an efficient, collaborative, and patient-focused clinic environment

- Medical office, healthcare, dental office, or strong customer-service experience is an asset
- Familiarity with medical terminology is required; an MOA certificate is not required
- TELUS CHR experience is an asset, but full training will be provided
