Qualifications – Northern Ontario Healthcare Facility
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: December 20, 2026 (with possibility of extension)
- Ability to work in all four OR roles, including scrubbing, circulating, pre-operative, and recovery room
- Must be available to provide on-call coverage outside of regular working hours
- Accommodation: Provided

Responsibilities
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative process
- Perform all Operating Room functions, including scrubbing, circulating, pre-operative, and recovery room responsibilities
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond appropriately to changing clinical conditions
- Maintain accurate patient documentation while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours surgical cases as required
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility needs and shift assignments, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Canadian Operating Room nursing experience (required)
- Experience performing all four OR roles: scrubbing, circulating, pre-operative, and recovery room
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment
