We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a proactive, dependable individual who can manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll and benefits administration, including payroll compliance requirements, and experience working with ADP. They will also demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
This role is being offered as a contract opportunity with an expected duration of 12–18 months at our Ayr, Ontario location with a compensation package that includes:

Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 250 employees across Canada using ADP.
- Administer and maintain the Synerion Time and Attendance system, including reviewing timesheets, clearing exceptions, tracking vacation, personal time, leaves, and other employee attendance balances, while working with managers to resolve attendance and payroll issues.
- Process pay adjustments, manual payments, expense reimbursements, deductions, and additional payroll entries accurately and within established deadlines.
- Prepare and submit Records of Employment (ROEs) and assist with employee status changes, new hire audits, and terminations.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing, including tax forms, manual payments, and year-to-date updates.
- Respond to internal payroll inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrolling employees, tracking benefit changes, assisting employees with benefit-related inquiries, and coordinating updates with providers and Human Resources.
- Complete RRSP remittances.
- Work closely with Corporate Human Resources and Accounting to ensure payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all departments while supporting additional payroll and administrative projects as assigned.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills for payroll tracking, reporting, reconciliation, and data management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of payroll administration and/or related administrative experience.
- Proficient in ADP payroll systems and experienced using Synerion for time and attendance management.
- Payroll certification or working toward certification is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
