About the Opportunity:
EllisLawn is a highly rated, locally owned residential lawn care and property maintenance company based in Calgary. We currently have an overflow of organic leads and residential spring clean-up requests in all 4 quadrants of the city that we cannot fulfill internally.
We are looking to partner with a reliable, independent solo-landscaper to take on these overflow properties as a subcontractor.
This is the perfect opportunity for a newer lawn care landscaper who wants to build route density without spending money on marketing, or a hardworking individual looking to fill gaps in their weekly schedule. We handle the lead generation, the quoting, the customer service, and the billing. We simply hand you the work order; you execute the job, invoice us, and get paid.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Spring/Fall Clean-ups: Power raking, leaf blowing, bagging debris, and clearing garden beds.
- Weekly/Bi-Weekly Maintenance: Mowing, edging, and string-trimming residential yards.
- Light Landscaping: Occasional weeding, hedge trimming, or mulch laying.
The Compensation (How it works):
- This is not an hourly employee position. You are paid on a piece-rate/percentage split per property.
- Jobs are priced so that an efficient operator working at a standard commercial pace will take home the equivalent of $25.00 to $35.00 per hour. (The faster and more efficient you are, the higher your hourly rate becomes).
- You simply submit an invoice to EllisLawn upon completion of the jobs, and we pay you out directly.
Requirements (Please do not apply if you do not meet these):
- Equipment: You must have your own reliable transportation (truck/van/SUV) capable of hauling equipment to site, plus your own mower, string trimmer, leaf blower, hand tools, and fuel. (We do not supply equipment).
- Independence: You manage your own time. As long as the job is completed to our high quality standards within the agreed-upon window, you dictate your routing and speed.
- Reliability: You must have a smartphone to receive dispatch details, take before/after photos of the properties, and communicate completion.
- Quality: You take pride in sharp edges, clean sidewalks, and leaving zero mess behind. Our reputation is built on 5-star reviews, and you must maintain that standard.
