We are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our dedicated team on the afternoon shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm-2:00 am). This role will work out of our 87,000 sq. ft. facility located in Puslinch, ON.
Please note that this is a 10 hours, 4 days/week shift and our location is not accessible by bus. There is a premium offered for all hours worked on the afternoon shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fit and weld lift tables and dock lifts
- Read and interpret blue prints, sketches and drawing specifications
- Weld/assemble fabrications accurately and efficiently based on the drawings/instructions provided
- Assemble large weldments into finished product
- Simple hydraulic plumbing and hose routing
- Test final product for function and conformance to customer specifications
- Operate crane and other material handling equipment as needed
- Work in a safe manner in accordance to legislation and Company policies. This includes wearing required PPE (Welding helmet, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses)
Qualifications:
- 2+ years reading blueprints with the ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams
- 3+ years of experience in a fast paced custom steel fabrication setting
- 3+ years of experience with MIG welding is required
- Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team oriented environment
A weld test will be conducted during the interview process.
