Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team, in a Mobile Service truck. Our "home base" is a 8,000sq ft shop at the North end of High River and offer a smalltown family-run business vibe. Field service area for this position would be mainly in Foothills County, and going typically no further than North Calgary, and back home in your own bed every night! This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and other industrial assets.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes during repair procedures
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to accurately diagnose issues
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and professionally to clients or team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician or Mechanic, and Red Seal Cert or valid Apprenticeship papers
- Clean Driver's Abstract and Valid Driver's License
- Good personality, safe working, hard-working and organized as you will be the face of the company on different job sites of new and current clientele.
- Off/road equipment and on-road experience
- Must have majority of own tools to equip truck (we will discuss what the company provides)
- Priority will be given to candidates with welding, fabricating, and diesel tuning/delete experience.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when necessary
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments for maintenance work
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Our home base shop is mainly on-highway orientated offering CVIP inspections, repairs and tuning of all diesel trucks. On the field side of things, we do a little bit of everything, equipment, piling gear, trucks, mobile tuning and more. Hours of work are 7:30AM to 5:00PM with ample overtime available.
Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
