If you already have plenty of experience working with fibreglass moulds and a chop gun, that’s awesome! If not, no worries, we have some great people that will work with you to get you up to speed. POSITION SUMMARY
Eastside Industrial Coatings and Composites is looking for two experienced Fibreglass Laminators.
This position will assist in all aspects of the Industrial Composite Technician, which includes but is not limited to prepping tools for production, placing the fiberglass material load via the spray-up (Chop) method. In addition to this, operate machines or equipment or use hand tools to cut glass mat, shape, splice and fit materials to form into tools.
This position is a full-time, hourly paid position, which enjoys many benefits, such as a Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm schedule, with both day and evening shifts available, an amazing complement of employee benefits and deferred profit-sharing
**TRANSPORTATION: All Applicants must have a way to get to and from our facility, as there is no public transportation available.**
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE POSITIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with tool movements and prep/cleaning for the gel coat booth.
- Select and cut fibreglass mat and press / or lay mat over the gel-coated plug/tool.
- Utilizing electric and pneumatic tools.
- Demold (Remove) the cured parts from the tool and clear excessive material from the edge of the tool.
- Inspect tools to ensure they meet the required specifications and identify any defects present.
- Complete assigned work within a given timeframe and according to specifications.
- Keep all work areas, including the part storage area, clean and organized, emptying scrap and garbage containers as necessary.
- Cleaning and maintaining work tools such as rollers, brushes, grinders, electric tools and other pieces of equipment.
- Cleaning and maintaining safety equipment such as respirators and dust masks.
- Maintain all quality standards following the specifications for each job to meet customer requirements.
- Performs additional duties as deemed necessary.
- Takes initiative and is a self-starter
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
- Required: 2 years of experience in fibreglass lamination.
- Required: Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Preferred: Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to wear a ½ mask face respirator while performing specified work tasks
