Duties
- Measure window openings accurately using blueprints, schematics, and measurement tools to ensure perfect fitment of blinds or shades
- Install a wide range of window coverings including blinds, shades, shutters, and custom treatments with attention to detail
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, levels, and caulking guns to secure fixtures safely and efficiently
- Read construction schematics and blueprints to follow installation plans precisely
- Adjust and fine-tune installed window coverings for optimal operation and aesthetic appeal
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain product features and provide maintenance tips
- Maintain a clean work area during and after installations to ensure safety and professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, construction projects, or carpentry work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing installations against drafts or moisture
- Familiarity with construction-related skills such as restoration, painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation or tile laying is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work at various heights on ladders or scaffolding
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with clients professionally
