Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items
- Supervise specific sections of the kitchen during service, maintaining smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders
- Assist in menu planning and development to introduce new culinary creations that delight guests
- Manage inventory levels for your station, including ordering supplies and controlling waste to optimize food costs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination during busy service periods
- Support banquet and catering operations by preparing large quantities of food with precision and efficiency
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring adherence to health standards and safety protocols
- Lead by example in practicing excellent food production techniques, including cooking, plating, and presentation skills
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management
- Demonstrated banquet experience along with supervising or leadership experience within a culinary setting
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to adapt recipes accordingly
- Strong skills in inventory management, food handling, and food safety practices
- Experience in menu planning, shift management, and restaurant or hospitality operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent team management skills with a focus on leadership and fostering a positive work environment
- Familiarity with catering services, food service management, and restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Culinary training or certification from a recognized institution is preferred
