Position Summary:
The Afternoon Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production activities during the afternoon shift, ensuring that safety, quality, productivity, and staffing goals are consistently met. This role plays a key part in coordinating with other departments, maintaining smooth workflow, and fostering a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees on the afternoon shift.
- Perform in-process inspections of products.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources to meet daily production targets and customer deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform daily shift start-up meetings and communicate production goals and expectations.
- Train, coach, and evaluate employees to promote skill development and high performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment, materials, or personnel during the shift.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance, Quality Control, and Inventory teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Complete shift reports, production logs, and incident reports as required.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, mining supply, or industrial production environment.
- Machinist background/ experience considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification and First Aid training are considered assets.
Working Conditions:
- Overtime as required
- Physically able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes, and oils
Shift Timings:
- 4.00 pm to 2.00 am
- Monday to Thursday

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
