Join our team at Souto Farms, a family run business, committed to bringing locally sourced produce to the community. Many of our products come from our family orchard in Oliver, BC and veggie farm in Airdrie, Alberta. We are passionate about our products and are looking for team members to join us in helping bring it to the communities surrounding Calgary. This role involves direct interaction with customers, making it perfect for enthusiastic, personable and hardworking candidates.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Promote sales by engaging customers and sharing information about products
- Set up display and stock produce
- Communicate effectively with customers, answering any questions about produce and the farm
- Work efficiently in fast paced environments with other team members
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic attitude and strong communication skills for interacting with customers
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift between to 20-50lbs
- Basic mental math to calculate order totals
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours during market days
This position is for two of our weekend markets, Cochrane on Saturdays and Bearspaw on Sundays. Candidates will need reliable transportation to these locations and markets will run through the summer and into the first week of October.
