Receiver Cavendish is hiring a hands‑on, early‑rising Bakery Supervisor to lead our bread and pastry production. This role requires strong technical skills, a calm command of early‑morning operations, and the ability to guide a small team through consistent, high‑quality output.
Role Summary
You’ll oversee daily bread and pastry production, support the bakery team during 3am starts, maintain food safety standards, and ensure our products meet Receiver’s quality expectations. Your leadership and craft will help shape a smooth, efficient, guest‑focused bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead early‑morning bakery operations (3 am start), ensuring bread, pastries and daily production are completed on schedule
- Oversee mixing, shaping, baking, decorating, and packaging with a focus on consistency and quality
- Train and support bakery staff in technique, food handling, and safety procedures
- Maintain high standards for all baked goods, including wholesale and catering items
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Monitor inventory and place orders to prevent shortages or waste
- Assist guests with product questions, ingredient details, and dietary options
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bread baking, pastry production, or culinary roles; supervisory experience preferred
- Strong technical skills in dough handling, shaping, and pastry execution
- Cake‑decorating ability and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of food safety and proper handling procedures
- Experience packaging baked goods for retail or catering
- Ability to lead a team in a fast‑paced, early‑morning environment
- Professional, positive approach to customer service and communication
