Whoa Doggie is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional Dog Walker & Pet Care Provider to join our growing team. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term opportunity who takes pride in providing exceptional care and building lasting relationships with both our clients and their pets.
What You'll Do
- Walk dogs individually or two from the same household.
- Provide in-home drop-in visits and potty breaks.
- Follow individualized care instructions for each pet.
- Monitor canine body language and behaviour to ensure safe, positive experiences.
- Provide fresh water, meals, medications (when required), and lots of enrichment and affection.
- Send detailed visit updates, photos, and report cards through our pet care app.
- Travel between client homes throughout your shift.
- Represent Whoa Doggie with professionalism and excellent customer service.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has previous professional or extensive hands-on experience working with dogs.
- Is confident reading canine body language and recognizing signs of stress, fear, or overstimulation.
- Has a genuine passion for animal welfare and force-free handling methods.
- Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Is physically able to walk multiple dogs and remain active throughout the day.
- Is looking for a long-term position with a growing company.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence.
- Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to drive between client homes throughout Calgary.
- Comfortable spending a significant portion of your day driving between appointments within a reasonable service area.
- Smartphone with data for scheduling and visit updates.
- Ability to pass a criminal record check.
- Availability on weekdays (some evenings, weekends, and holidays may also be required).
