Overview
As a Senior Accountant, you will have the chance to be at the forefront of financial success, both for our clients and for yourself. You will have the opportunity to advance in assurance and financial reporting services, but will have a focus on taxation of private companies.
Duties
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with the appropriate reporting framework as per the client;
- Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, Compilation Engagements and tax returns according to Company and regulatory standards for clients in a variety of businesses.
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results;
- Responsible for the completion of tax engagements by computing taxes owed, preparing trust, personal, and corporate tax returns (and other compliance slips), preparing year-end tax forms (T4s/T5s), recommending tax strategies for clients;
- Assist in the preparation of letters of instructions of reorganizations for tax purposes.
- Build effective working relationships with client contacts, and respond effectively to client requests and suggestions related to engagement;
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns;
- Prepare projections, forecasts, business plans, and other projects as required;
- Be able to address client issues with third parties such as regulatory auditors, lenders, client shareholders or lenders;
- Supervise staff accountants, accounting assistants, bookkeepers, as required;
- Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlights;
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures;
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes;
- Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities;
- Completion of additional ad-hoc duties or assignments as required;

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
