Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Pump Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating concrete pumping equipment efficiently and safely on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, construction processes, and safety protocols. The Concrete Pump Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate placement of concrete, supporting the overall progress of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete pumping equipment to deliver concrete to designated areas on construction sites
- Set up and inspect pump machinery before use, ensuring all safety standards are met
- Coordinate with construction crews to determine the best placement of concrete and troubleshoot any operational issues
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on pump equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Assist with other related tasks such as loader operation, excavator operation, or concrete finishing as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and equipment used throughout each shift
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including concrete pumps, loaders, or excavators
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery and troubleshooting skills
- Prior experience in construction environments, particularly with paving, concrete forming, or finishing is preferred
- Valid class 3 driver’s license
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to operate machinery safely under various conditions
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy materials when necessary
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
