Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, customer-oriented Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. You will focus exclusively on residential clients, managing service calls, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. You would also be involved in installation of heat pumps and residential ventilation systems. The successful candidate will work independently and ensure all work meets provincial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Calls: Respond promptly to residential service requests to resolve home comfort issues.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on residential heat pumps and ventilation systems.
- Repairs: Perform reliable, high-quality component replacements and system repairs.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups to maximize system efficiency.
- Installation: Complete professional installations of new residential heat pumps and ventilation equipment.
- Customer Care: Explain diagnostic results clearly to homeowners and provide accurate repair options.
- Documentation: Keep detailed digital records of work orders, parts used, and safety checklists.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: New Brunswick Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Journeyman Certificate, Red Seal, or registered apprentice.
- Experience: Hands-on experience specializing in residential heat pumps and home ventilation systems.
- Licensing: Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic abilities for residential electrical controls and refrigerant circuits.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in crawlspaces, attics, and outdoors.
Pay: $28.00-$42.00 per hour
