Summer Camp Worker

Work in a dynamic summer camp environment providing holistic, inclusive, and engaging care for children ages 5–12. Summer Camp Interns will support program staff in delivering recreational activities, supervising children, serving snacks, and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for all participants. This position offers hands-on experience and mentorship throughout the summer, providing opportunities to develop skills in childcare, program facilitation, behaviour guidance, inclusion practices, and overall camp operations. The position follows a set schedule, Monday through Friday, with hours to be determined.

Wage: $25.25 Closing Date: July 16, 2026
Status: Temporary/Full time Start Date: immediately
End Date: August 28, 2026 - potential to continue on in September in our School Age program.

Experience
· One (1) year experience working with children in a professional, inclusive setting
· Previous experience working with children is an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
A suitable candidate has
· An ability to function effectively within the Constitution and By-laws of the Cridge Centre for the Family.
· An ability to plan developmentally appropriate activities.
· An ability to clearly communicate in writing and verbally.
· An ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
Qualifications/Certification:
· High school diploma.
· 19 years of age or older.
· Standard first aid certificate.
· Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Valued Assets:
· Foodsafe level one certificate
· Knowledge of community resources
· Experience working with children with special needs
· Class 4 license
