We’re restoring a historic prairie grain elevator an iconic structure that has stood for generations and we’re looking for someone skilled, dependable, and proud of their craftsmanship to help bring it back to life.
This is not a standard carpentry position.
Every day involves hands-on restoration, problem solving, and meaningful work preserving a piece of prairie history.
If you enjoy working independently, building things properly, and taking pride in what you leave behind, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Restore and repair wood structures including siding, stairs, railings, and framing
- Fixing and restoring windows and doors
- Perform general building repairs
- Prep, repair, and paint exterior surfaces
- Build fencing and complete site improvements
- Work independently with a high level of trust and ownership
- Help maintain and improve the overall site
- Occasionally assist in organizing volunteers on-site
What We’re Looking For
- Strong carpentry and general repair skills
- Comfortable solving problems and figuring things out independently
- Pride in clean, thoughtful workmanship
- Physically capable of demanding outdoor work
- Comfortable working at heights and in older structures
- Reliable transportation
- Experience with restoration work is an asset, but not required

Job Details
- Rural outdoor work environment
- Flexible scheduling available
- Seasonal with possibility of some hours for indoor only work.
- Approximately 35–45 hours/week depending on weather and project stage
