Overview:
MindScape Psychology, a leading private mental health clinic, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Therapist to join our team. As a Child Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families through evidence-based therapeutic intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and, when necessary, family therapy to children and adolescents.
- Assess and diagnose emotional and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with schools, parents, and other professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including play therapy in our dedicated play room.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with your regulating body.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists or The Alberta College of Social Work
- Minimum 3 years of post-graduation clinical experience.
- Experience working with young children and families.
- Familiarity with Children’s Services and Family Supports for Children with Disabilities is an asset.
- Ability to see clients in person (downtown Medicine Hat location) and, occasionally, virtually.
- Familiarity with Jane practice management software would be an asset.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on a commission split starting from $100.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule:
- Flexible schedule including weekdays and weekends as needed.
