Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, hospitality, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, or hotel settings is a plus but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food preparation and hospitality operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and basic cooking under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support the food handling process to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Help with stocking supplies and organizing kitchen storage areas
- Assist in serving food to guests or customers as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy service hours by providing general assistance as required
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques is a plus
- Hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior staff
