Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Driver to join our Ready mix concrete team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, heavy machinery, and construction-related tasks. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn to operate various types of equipment, including loaders and stone slingers.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport materials to designated sites.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations during transportation and operation of heavy machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- General batch plant maintenance and some manual labor pouring and stripping blocks made from leftover concrete
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Experience in construction environments, is an asset
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and site managers.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of operating heavy machinery and performing manual tasks associated with ready mix. We value candidates who are dedicated to safety, reliability, and efficiency on the job site.
Pay: $29.00-$32.00 per hour
