Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems under the guidance of a licensed electrician.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
- Assist in the installation and connection of electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
- Use hand tools and power tools to measure, cut, bend, and install wiring and conduit.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on electrical systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in a 309A apprenticeship with at least 5400 hours is preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles and concepts.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.
