The role

As a Welder/Fitter, you’ll be assembling and welding components using GMAW and GTAW processes, working from blueprints to precise tolerances, and taking real ownership of the quality of what you put out. Every project here is a little different – if you like variety and take pride in doing the job right the first time, you’ll fit in well.
What you’ll be doing
- Assemble and weld components using GMAW and/or GTAW processes
- Read and interpret blueprints to meet precise tolerances
- Inspect materials before assembly to ensure quality and accuracy
- Set up and work with fixture jigs as needed
- Move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, or hoists
- Perform tack and final welds with attention to detail
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and hazard-free
- Communicate deviations or issues to the processing department
- Pitch in with other shop duties when needed
What you bring
- Ability to read blueprints and measuring devices in both imperial and metric systems
- Skilled in GMAW and/or GTAW welding – minimum 1 year of experience
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
- Safety-first mindset – PPE and procedures are non-negotiable
- A team player who takes pride in high-quality work

Position details
- This is an existing vacancy
- This is a full-time, permanent, on-site Welder/Fitter position
- Overtime pay applies after 40 hours per week – 48+ hours are common during busy periods and should be expected
- Benefits include dental, extended health, vision, life insurance, RRSP matching, and on-site parking – available after 90 days
