In this role, you will work closely with engineering, platform, and business teams to modernize complex application environments—moving beyond traditional lift-and-shift approaches to design scalable, resilient, and intelligent solutions in the cloud.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on shaping architecture patterns, accelerating modernization, and enabling teams to deliver faster, with greater efficiency and flexibility.
Position Responsibilities:
Define and evolve cloud-native architecture patterns that enable scalable, resilient, and AI-ready applications
Partner with engineering teams to modernize applications from VM-based environments to PaaS, containerized, and serverless solutions
Lead architecture reviews and guide teams in making practical, forward-looking design decisions
Identify opportunities to simplify systems, reduce complexity, and improve delivery speed
Develop and promote repeatable modernization approaches that teams can adopt consistently
Collaborate with data and platform teams to ensure architectures support high-quality, accessible data for AI use cases
Explore and apply automation or AI tools to accelerate modernization, system analysis, and architecture decision-making
Required Qualifications:
Experience designing and modernizing applications in cloud environments (Azure preferred; other cloud platforms considered)
Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, including containers, serverless, and event-driven systems
Experience supporting application transformation beyond basic infrastructure migration
Engineering & Collaboration
Ability to work across application, platform, and data layers to solve complex architecture challenges
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfort working directly with engineering teams on real-world system design and modernization initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience applying AI or automation to support system analysis, modernization, or architecture decisions
Familiarity with microservices and distributed system design
Exposure to tools such as Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code frameworks
Experience working in large-scale or regulated environments
