Requirements
Shipping & Receiving
· Perform general physical activities in the warehouse; loading, unloading products and materials manually and using material handling equipment.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Prepare machinery and parts for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Create and process shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and courier paperwork.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with transportation companies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist and Support Parts Dept with shipments.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
Machinery Moving
- Safely load, unload, and move heavy machinery using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Secure machinery properly for transportation.
- Operate lifting and moving equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any maintenance concerns.
- Preparing machines for CSA inspections, opening and closing machines.
· Repair or replace defective machinery parts, performing routine maintenance work on machines.
· Provide technical suggestion and or advice on mechanical.
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Ensure aisles and work areas remain free of hazards.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Report damaged products, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately.
- Other duties as needed.
Communication
- Communicate effectively with management including, shipment status, delivery issues, inventory discrepancies, and scheduling.
- Coordinate with transportation companies, customers, technicians, and internal departments.
- Notify management promptly of delays, damaged freight, or unexpected issues.
Qualifications
· Previous experience 2 to 5 years plus related in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or machinery moving.
· Forklift license and a valid driver`s license in Canada.
- Experience handling heavy machinery more than 12000 LBS; Must be capable of operating heavy equipment such as forklifts to maneuver and lift machines and machine parts.
· Excellent Customer Service skills on the phone, by email and in person.
- Ability to read shipping documents and Bills of Lading.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills; word, excel and other computer applications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Able to prioritize workload and cope in/with stressful situations.
· Be aware of Health & Safety issues.
· Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary
Compensation competitive and commensurate with experience.
Start date
As soon as possible.
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 37.0 per week
