Pet Grooming receptionists
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, gentle, and high-quality grooming services tailored to each dog's breed, coat type, and temperament
- Style pets according to client preferences while ensuring the pet's comfort and well-being
- Assess coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners
- Provide after-care and maintenance advice to clients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming station, tools, and equipment
- Safely handle dogs of various sizes, including large breeds
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional pet grooming experience
- Strong knowledge of grooming techniques, breed standards, and pet handling
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to pet safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage appointment bookings
- Check pets in and out and maintain accurate client records
- Process payments and assist with retail sales, if applicable
- Coordinate schedules and communicate effectively with groomers and clients
- Support daily salon operations to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience
- Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area
Requirements
- Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or retail experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable working around dogs and interacting with pet owners
- Basic computer and scheduling software skills
Location: Downtown Toronto
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience
