Oxford Learning Kanata and Oxford Learning Stittsville are growing, and we're looking for enthusiastic, dynamic, and reliable part-time Teacher-Tutors to join our team.

At Oxford Learning, you'll teach using our proven cognitive learning programs designed to build not only academic skills but also confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. All lesson plans, materials, and training are provided, allowing you to focus on what you do best—teaching, motivating, and inspiring students.
Because students thrive with consistency, we are looking for candidates who can commit to working with us for the entire academic year (September through June). This commitment allows tutors to build lasting relationships with students and contribute meaningfully to their long-term success.
Available Teaching Areas
We are hiring tutors in one or more of the following subject areas:
- Elementary (Grades 1–8)
- High School Math (Advanced Functions, Calculus, Data Management)
- Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- English and Language Arts
- French (Core and Immersion)
- Reading and Writing
- Study Skills
Candidates with strengths in multiple subjects are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
As an Oxford Learning Teacher-Tutor, you will:
- Teach up to three students at a time in a supportive, small-group environment
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction using Oxford Learning programs
- Foster students' confidence, motivation, and independent learning skills
- Monitor student progress and complete lesson notes
- Communicate professionally with staff and families when appropriate
- Create a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and centre staff
No lesson planning is required. All curriculum, training, and instructional materials are provided.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Education, Mathematics, Science, English, French, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Fourth-year university students with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is an asset
- Ontario teaching certification is an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- French language proficiency is considered an asset
Schedule
This is an in-person position at our Kanata and/or Stittsville locations.
Typical availability includes:
- Monday to Thursday evenings (starting at 3:45PM)
- Saturday mornings (preferred)
- Additional hours may be available during school holidays and the summer
Candidates should be available for a minimum of two evening shifts per week and be committed to the full academic year.
