Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring sales targets are met, maintaining merchandising standards, and fostering a positive shopping environment. The Store Manager will play a key role in driving store success through effective team management, operational oversight, and strategic planning.
Tasks
- Evaluate daily operations
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Manage staff and assign duties
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold
- Develop and implement marketing strategies
- Determine staffing requirements
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
- Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management, sales management, or store supervision with strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in negotiation and phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, purchasing, and marketing initiatives
- Ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering teamwork and professional development
- Competence in budgeting, sales analysis, training & development, and administrative responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle customer service issues with professionalism and tact
- Leadership qualities with a focus on motivating staff and driving store success
