Island Foods & Freight is a privately owned, family-operated warehouse distribution and freight transportation company, located on Vancouver Island. With the main warehouse located in Port McNeill, Island Foods & Freight expanded into Campbell River in 2022 and is continuously growing their operation!
At the Campbell River warehouse, we specialize in the transportation of perishable and dry freight for various suppliers. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond to provide excellent service to our customers, and we work hard with our team to achieve that.
We are excited to offer TWO positions at our Campbell River location: Part-Time Delivery Driver, AND a Full-Time Delivery Driver, both with minimum Class 3 license.
Duties & Responsibilities:
These positions are responsible for loading and unloading freight products on to your truck at our warehouse in Campbell River, ensuring it is correct against the shipping paperwork. You will then be driving one of the various delivery routes we service and dropping off the appropriate freight to the correct customer.
Note for the Part-Time role that it is 3-4 days per week from early fall until spring, and during our busy season roughly April to September it can be up to 5 days per week.
Requirements:
- Minimum Class 3 License
- Clean drivers abstract
- Electric Pallet jack and forklift experience is an asset
- Freight industry experience an asset but not required
- Ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
- A friendly customer service presence
- Must be legally able to work in Canada and located locally in Campbell River
Wage:
Wage will depend on experience and license class. The wage can be discussed at an interview. We have a benefits program as well.
Pay: $25.00-$26.00 per hour
