Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This position involves highway driving across Canada handling various weather and road conditions safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes and destinations.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries.
- Transport goods over long distances through mountainous and highway terrain.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, shippers and receivers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Candidates will be expected to focus on multiple pick and multiple drop loads (LTL).
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
- Minimum [2–3] years of verifiable mountain and highway driving experience.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Strong understanding of load securement, braking techniques, and winter driving safety.
- Ability to work independently with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and compliance documentation.
- Prior experience in freight transportation or logistics is preferred.
- Experience driving with a flatbed, or b-train is an asset.
- Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently is an asset.
- Able to stay OTR for 2 weeks

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
