We are a children’s toy brand and are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented seamstress or sewing specialist to help repair and restore soft dolls with care.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on sewing, small repairs, plush toys, soft goods, and careful finishing work.
Responsibilities
- Repair and restore soft dolls, plush items, and small fabric accessories
- Complete hand-sewing repairs with neat, durable finishing
- Use a sewing machine for repairs, reinforcements, and adjustments
- Inspect dolls for loose seams, fabric issues, stuffing concerns, and small defects
- Match thread, stitching, and finishes as closely as possible
- Learn our doll styles and quality standards over time
- Keep repair notes and communicate clearly about completed work
- Pick up and drop off items locally when needed
Requirements
- Strong hand-sewing skills
- Comfortable using a sewing machine
- Experience with alterations, repairs, plush toys, dolls, soft goods, or textile work
- Very detail-oriented and patient with small fixes
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Located near Toronto East/East York or nearby Toronto area
- Able to safely handle and return inventory
Nice to Have
- Experience repairing plush toys or dolls
- Experience with embroidery, small details, or fine finishing
- Access to your own sewing machine
- Interest in children’s products, inclusive toys, or meaningful handmade work
Compensation
Hourly or per-project compensation based on experience. Flexible schedule with potential for ongoing work.
