Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Advanced Drone Pilot in the Crowsnest Pass area who is available on call to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a certified Thermographer and responsible for operating drones for various applications, including aerial inspections, mapping, and data collection. This role requires a strong understanding of drone technology, excellent time management skills, and the ability to analyze complex data accurately. The Advanced Drone Pilot will play a crucial role in supporting innovative projects that require precise aerial operations and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Operate advanced drones safely and efficiently during scheduled missions across diverse environments mainly for wildfire hotspot locations using infrared imaging.
- Plan flight paths and mission parameters to optimize data collection and ensure safety compliance.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and troubleshoot technical issues with drone equipment.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret aerial data to support project objectives.
- Maintain detailed logs of flight activities, technical issues, and collected data for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new drone applications and improve operational procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest drone regulations, safety standards, and technological advancements.
Experience
- Proven experience operating advanced or commercial drones in professional settings.
- Preferred certified Thermographer.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for processing and interpreting aerial data accurately.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety protocols related to drone operations.
