Buco Pizzeria + Vino Bar is a modern, contemporary Neapolitan-style pizzeria that is part of Sorrentino’s Restaurant Group, a locally and family-owned establishment serving the City of Edmonton and the surrounding areas since 1979. Description
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in ensuring efficient operations, high food quality and service standards, and financial performance at their respective restaurant location. This role involves assisting in staff management, maintaining compliance with company policies, and driving customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager works closely with the General Manager to align business strategies with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support smooth and efficient daily operations alongside the General Manager.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in recruiting, training, supervising and scheduling restaurant staff.
- Implement cost-control measures and drive revenue growth initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.
- Help oversee inventory levels and ordering processes, and perform duties as assigned.
- Help ensure relationships with suppliers are maintained.
- Contribute to the execution of the restaurant group's strategic plan.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management/supervising.
- Mandatory ProServe and First Aid certified.
- Strong leadership and operational skills.
- Proficiency in financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
- A genuine passion for the restaurant industry and providing excellent customer service.
