Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role is vital in ensuring a positive first impression and smooth flow of operations within our restaurant or hotel setting. The Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries and ensuring comfort
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding guest needs and seating plans
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, utilizing proper phone etiquette
- Assist in coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to optimize service flow
- Uphold hospitality standards by providing attentive and friendly customer service at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant service, hospitality, or hotel environment preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Familiarity with food service procedures and restaurant operations is desirable
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
