About The Role
As a Licensed Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical systems that keep production running safely and efficiently. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical issues, install and upgrade equipment, and work closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
This position operates on a continental day/night shift rotation, averaging 40 regular hours and 2 hours of overtime per week. Additional overtime may be required based on operational needs, and statutory holiday work is required as part of the scheduled rotation. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performing Electrical Maintenance & Repairs on Industrial Machinery, Control Systems, & Production Equipment
- Troubleshooting Electrical Faults to Minimize Production Downtime
- Installing, Modifying, & Upgrading Electrical Systems & Equipment
- Performing Preventative Maintenance & Routine Electrical Inspections
- Reading & Interpreting Electrical Schematics & Blueprints
- Ensuring All Work Complies with Ontario Electrical Code & Company Safety Standards
- Collaborating with Maintenance & Production Teams to Support Efficient Facility Operations
- Maintaining Accurate Maintenance & Repair Records
- Supplying & Maintaining Your Own Hand Tools Required for Shift Repairs
- Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Industrial Electrician License (309A Required; 442A Preferred)
- 5 + Years Experience Working in an Automated Industrial Manufacturing Environment
- Experience with Siemens Simatic Step 7 Considered an Asset
- Strong Knowledge of Industrial Electrical Systems, Controls, & Safety Procedures
- Ability to Read & Interpret Electrical Drawings & Schematics
- Excellent Troubleshooting, Critical Thinking, & Communication Skills
- Ability to Work Independently & Within Team Environment
- Strong Attention to Detail with Excellent Organizational & Prioritization Skills
