Wage Rate: $9,435.73 as per schedule "A" of the CUPE Local 3906 Unit 2 Collective Agreement
Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties: An introduction to transition metal chemistry, with focus on the relationships between structure, bonding, orbitals, properties, spectroscopy and applications.
Required Qualifications : Graduate level education (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Inorganic Chemistry with a thorough understanding of the aforementioned topics gained through significant coursework and/or research experience is required. Candidates must demonstrate a strong foundation in core chemistry concepts and an ability to effectively communicate inorganic chemistry topics to undergraduate chemistry students. Prior teaching experience at the university level is preferred, particularly in courses of similar scope and size. Demonstrated ability to perform the various duties of the appointment (e.g. administrative work, corresponding with students, administering tests/exams, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with the CHEM 3II3 course material.
*Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
