Role Description
This is a full-time Steamfitter/Pipefitter role at Maritime Pressure Works Limited. The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, fabricating, and maintaining pipes and pipe systems. We have current openings for Dartmouth & Springhill NS, but will also have the opportunity for onsite work throughout the Maritimes. Maritime Pressure has multiple open positions for shop & road opportunities. We offer a wage of $46+/hr. for Red Seal Pipefitters with options for hourly uplifts for Dual Tickets
Typical Responsibilities
- Blueprint Reading: Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to plan piping layouts.
- Fabrication: Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using hand/power tools.
- Installation: Fit pipe sections. Install supports, valves, and control mechanisms.
- Testing: Pressure-test piping systems using air or water to identify and resolve leaks.
- Material Handling: Work with various materials, including carbon steel, copper, copper-nickel, and stainless steel.
Common Qualifications
- Certification: Red Seal Journeyman Certification (Steamfitter-Pipefitter)
- Experience: 5+ years of verifiable industrial or marine pipefitting experience.
- Safety Tickets: Standard requirements include Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, and WHMIS.
- Valid Drivers License
Physical Requirements
- Capable of heavy lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
