Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves transforming furniture pieces by applying upholstery materials, repairing, and restoring furniture to high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in woodworking, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various tools and machinery. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and assemble upholstery materials to fit furniture frames accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and woodworking equipment to prepare furniture components
- Repair or replace damaged upholstery, foam padding, springs, and other components as needed
- Apply finishing techniques to ensure a smooth, professional appearance of upholstered furniture
- Collaborate with team members on assembly and manufacturing processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience in furniture upholstery, woodworking, or manufacturing environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in machining, CNC operation, and use of calipers for precise measurements
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction techniques
- Knowledge of assembly processes and construction experience beneficial
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
