ETAC is a Canadian supplier of power generation and electrical distribution equipment serving customers across North America. Our product portfolio includes diesel generators, natural gas generators, transformers, switchgear, gas turbine systems, and customized power solutions for industrial, commercial, utility, and infrastructure applications. We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and hands-on Warehouse Operator to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. In this role, you will play a key part in managing our local storage operations, handling heavy equipment preparation (specifically transformers), maintaining inventory organization, and coordinating logistical activities to ensure seamless inbound and outbound shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage day-to-day office administration and ensure smooth office operations.
· Obtain and maintain a valid forklift operator’s license, and operate the ETAC forklift safely as required.
· Inspect the forklift regularly, arrange for professional servicing when necessary, and maintain all required maintenance logs.
· Disassemble wooden packing crates for incoming transformers and other heavy equipment.
· Prepare transformers for outbound shipping by re-packaging them using existing crates or professionally wrapping them in heavy-duty tarps.
· Perform minor cosmetic touch-ups on transformers, including paint touch-ups, cleaning, pressure washing, and precise application of safety/technical labels.
· Manage waste and scrap materials (wooden crates, pallets, plastic, packaging, etc.) by arranging for proper municipal disposal or commercial sale.
· Be actively present at the warehouse to supervise, assist with, and execute the inbound and outbound loading/unloading of transformers and equipment.
· Arrange and coordinate heavy machinery, including forklifts, cranes, and other specialized lifting equipment as required for specific shipments.
· Manage and organize items within the warehouse, rearranging layout dynamically to accommodate new inventory and optimize space.
· Establish a designated tool storage area and create/maintain a comprehensive inventory of all warehouse tools and equipment.
· Keep the warehouse facility tidy, organized, and compliant with standard health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment.
· Prior experience operating a forklift; willingness and ability to obtain/renew a forklift operator's license.
· Familiarity or experience with heavy industrial equipment, rigging, or transformer handling is a strong asset.
· Comfortable performing hands-on, physical labor (lifting, bending, painting, pressure washing, using hand tools).
· Strong organization skills with a proven ability to organize storage spaces and maintain inventories.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage flexible hours, and coordinate with third-party logistics/crane providers.
· Commitment to workplace safety practices and clean facilities.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
