Responsibilities
- Delivers warm and connected guest services
- Handles guest inquiries, manage reservations and check-ins
- Monitors guest responses and mobile check-ins using GXP platform
- Promotes the Marriott Bonvoy program and enrollment goals
- Takes ownership of guest complaints, finding creative ways to resolve problems with the guest
- Runs all night audit reports and reports any discrepancies to the managers
- Maintains a balanced float assigned by the hotel and balances all transactions at the end of each shift
- Coordinates housekeeping, security, and service needs
- Follows all cash-handling procedures with urgency and integrity
- Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics
- Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities
- Performs other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Must have flexible availability to work overnight shifts from Monday to Sunday including weekends and public holidays. Hours may vary based on business requirements.
- Is a friendly, energetic person who prides themselves on creating memorable guest experiences through warm & genuine service
- Takes initiative to find creative ways to respond to guest requests
- Understands that success lies in working together and enjoys being part of a team
- Gets excited by an energetic, fast-paced environment
- Speaks fluent English. Additional languages to connect with international guests is an asset
- Is excited to belong to a team of caring, warm, energetic Team Members
- Previous front office or customer service experience required, hotel experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with computers with experience in using Microsoft Excel, hotel PMS systems, and email
- Previous experience with property management systems and Micros F&B System a definite asset
- Able to work independently overnight, take initiative, self-starter
- Able to Supervise the Night Audit team on occasion
- Able to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Strong guest service skills are essential
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and able to handle a large volume of phone calls and guest arrivals
- Desire to work in a team based environment
