Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory & Data Integrity Manager to oversee all inventory operations and ensure the accuracy of our data systems. This role is responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels of fresh produce, groceries, and halal meats while minimizing discrepancies, shrink, and waste. This is a key leadership position that supports efficient daily operations in our busy grocery store.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of inventory including ordering, receiving, stocking, rotation (FIFO), and merchandising
- Oversee data integrity for inventory transactions, sales, receiving, transfers, and adjustments
- Perform regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits (physical vs. system records)
- Monitor stock levels, shelf life, and sales trends to prevent stockouts and overstock
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and system issues
- Forecast demand and coordinate with suppliers/vendors for timely deliveries
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and food safety standards (especially for fresh produce and halal meats)
- Generate reports and dashboards on inventory accuracy, shrink, spoilage, and key performance metrics
- Collaborate with store leadership to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
- Support specialized tracking for halal meat department and other high-priority items
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights that inform business strategies.
- Assist in database design and optimization for improved data retrieval.
- Implement best practices in data analysis and visualization.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes within the organization.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of combined experience in inventory management, data control, or retail operations (grocery or food retail strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce, FIFO rotation, food safety, and halal product handling
- Experience with POS/inventory management systems and advanced Excel/Google Sheets
- Excellent business analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or related field is an asset. Knowledge of database design and management using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
