About the Opportunity
Our client is one of Canada’s largest independent, 100% Canadian-owned distributors of laboratory equipment, consumables, and scientific supplies. Supporting clinical, life science, industrial, and research laboratories coast-to-coast, they provide comprehensive, localized solutions rather than just pushing catalog numbers.
Unlike massive global conglomerates, they empower their sales teams with the autonomy, agility, and dedicated in-house technical support needed to truly partner with their clients. We are currently seeking a driven, fully bilingual Territory Sales Manager to take ownership of the Montreal area
What You'll Accomplish
As the Territory Sales Manager, you will be the face of the company for laboratories, research institutions, and hospitals throughout your region. You will inherit an active portfolio of accounts while aggressively hunting for new business.
- Drive Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a localized business plan to increase market share across clinical, academic, and industrial laboratories.
- Consultative Problem Solving: Conduct on-site client visits to understand laboratory workflows and pain points, recommending the right capital equipment (e.g., cold storage, incubators) and recurring consumables from a highly curated supplier portfolio.
- Win Complex Bids: Navigate complex institutional purchasing environments (hospitals, universities, government agencies) and successfully manage the bidding/RFP process.
- Leverage Local Support: Partner closely with an elite, in-house technical service team to ensure seamless installation, preventative maintenance, and long-term client satisfaction.
- Manage the Pipeline: Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and territory data to consistently meet and exceed revenue targets.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bilingual Excellence: Full professional proficiency in French and English (written and verbal) is strictly required for this territory.
- Proven Track Record: 3–5+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience, preferably selling capital equipment, consumables, or devices into the scientific, medical, or life sciences sectors.
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences) or Business Administration.
- Consultative DNA: Demonstrated ability to navigate multi-stakeholder procurement cycles, negotiate complex contracts, and transition transactional buyers into long-term partners.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage a remote, field-based territory independently.
- Note: A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory are required.
Why Make the Move?
- Agility & Impact: Escape the red tape of massive global conglomerates. Your voice is heard, and you have the flexibility to make decisions that directly impact your clients.
- The Ultimate Sales Moat: Sell with confidence knowing your clients are backed by a dedicated, localized technical service and repair team that keeps their labs running.
- Comprehensive Rewards: A highly competitive base salary, an uncapped commission structure designed to reward high performers, a vehicle allowance, RRSP matching, and a comprehensive benefits package.
- Canadian Pride: Build your career with a fiercely independent, industry-leading organization.
To Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief introduction outlining your territory management experience directly to Talent Force Group for confidential consideration.
