Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in food service environments. The position requires a strong understanding of food safety standards and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy hours
- Follow serving guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork-oriented attitude
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings as needed
