Senior Bookkeeper — RV SnapPad (Origen RV Accessories Ltd.)
Location: Calgary, Alberta (in-house / on-site) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Compensation: $35/hour CAD - Full Time Position
About RV SnapPad
RV SnapPad (Origen RV Accessories Ltd.) is the Calgary-based company that created the permanent jack pad category for RVs. Founded in a family garage in 2015 with no outside investment, we now sell 70-plus SKUs through our website, Amazon, and wholesale distribution. Servicing 1,000-plus dealerships across North America, Europe, and Qatar. We run our business on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), and we're proud to still operate as a family business with a lean, high-trust team.
As we grow, we're bringing bookkeeping in-house for the first time. This is a foundational hire who will own our day-to-day financial operations and help us build the systems to scale.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced, detail-obsessed Senior Bookkeeper to manage the full bookkeeping cycle for our business. You'll be the first dedicated in-house finance hire, working closely with leadership to bring structure, accuracy, and timeliness to our books as we transition away from outsourced bookkeeping support.
What You'll Do
- Own full-cycle bookkeeping: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Manage payroll processing and remittances
- Handle GST/HST filings and support corporate tax preparation alongside our external accountant
- Reconcile multi-currency transactions (we sell into the US, Europe, and beyond)
- Maintain clean, audit-ready records and documentation
- Manage cash flow tracking and vendor payment schedules
- Support inventory and cost-of-goods-sold accounting for a physical products business
- Identify and implement process improvements as we formalize our financial workflows
- Partner directly with the CEO and leadership team on financial reporting and decision-making
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally with a small-to-mid-sized product or manufacturing business
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
- Solid understanding of Canadian bookkeeping standards, GST/HST, and payroll compliance
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the finance function
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable working directly with ownership
- Experience with multi-currency or e-commerce/retail transactions is an asset
- Bookkeeping certification (e.g., CPB) is an asset but not required
Why Join Us
- Join a profitable, founder-led company at an exciting growth stage
- Be the first in-house bookkeeper and help shape how our finance function is built
- Small, tight-knit team with a real family-business culture
- Direct access to leadership — your work will be seen and valued
- Competitive salary, benefits, and a collaborative Calgary office environment
