Summary
We are seeking a Class 1 Driver to join our team in Canada. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering freight efficiently and safely, contributing to our company's mission of excellence in transportation services. This position is based in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport freight across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and freight deliveries.
- Comply with all transportation laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries.
- Perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit.
- Uphold company standards for safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver's license. with 1 year experience.
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and forklifts is an asset.
- Strong understanding of transportation laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs.
