We are seeking a Storage Architect / Storage Specialist to support a short-term enterprise infrastructure initiative focused on modernizing and optimizing large-scale storage environments. This role requires a senior-level infrastructure professional with both strategic architecture expertise and hands-on implementation experience across enterprise storage platforms. The successful candidate will design, implement, and optimize scalable storage solutions while collaborating closely with infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to ensure high availability, performance, and operational efficiency.
This is an onsite contract position based in Calgary, Alberta, supporting a large enterprise environment.
- Design, architect, and implement enterprise storage solutions that meet business, performance, and scalability requirements.

Develop and optimize storage architectures for high availability, resiliency, and cost efficiency.

Deploy, configure, and support enterprise storage platforms, including Nasuni, Qumulo, and NetApp technologies.

Design and implement NetApp caching solutions to improve storage performance and optimize data access.

Assess existing storage environments and recommend improvements to architecture, performance, and capacity planning.

Support hybrid and on-premises storage infrastructure while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.

Troubleshoot complex storage infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution.

Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives.

Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and operational procedures.

Participate in knowledge transfer activities and provide guidance to technical teams throughout the engagement.

Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders to provide project updates and technical recommendations.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise storage architectures.

Strong hands-on expertise with Nasuni, Qumulo, and NetApp storage platforms.

Experience implementing and optimizing NetApp caching technologies.

Strong understanding of enterprise storage concepts, including performance tuning, replication, data protection, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.

Experience supporting large-scale hybrid and on-premises infrastructure environments.

Proven ability to optimize storage performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex enterprise storage environments.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience supporting large enterprise organizations is considered an asset.

Experience with cloud-integrated storage solutions is an asset.

Previous experience within the energy, utilities, or oil and gas sectors is considered an asset.
