Overview
We are seeking a motivated Plumbing Helper/Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing and construction projects, providing a valuable opportunity to develop essential skills in a professional environment. The role involves assisting skilled plumbers with various tasks, gaining practical knowledge of plumbing systems, and supporting overall project operations. Prior experience is not required, but a strong interest in building trades and a willingness to learn are essential. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Prepare work sites by organizing tools and materials needed for projects.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping and fixtures according to specifications.
- Support with welding, schematics reading, and other technical tasks as directed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
- Learn to troubleshoot plumbing issues using basic math and technical schematics under supervision.
Requirements
- Interest in plumbing, construction, HVAC, or related trades; prior experience is a plus but not required.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, or blueprint reading is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and schematics interpretation.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills on the job.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites; reliable transportation is beneficial. Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
