Senior Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join our growing construction team.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive experience managing multiple construction, renovation, and restoration projects from initial planning through final completion. This individual must be highly organized, proactive, capable of making quick decisions, and comfortable overseeing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, clients, and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction projects from start to finish
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, trades, and internal crews
- Oversee project costs, profitability, invoicing, and change orders
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Conduct regular site visits and oversee workmanship, progress, and quality control
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, estimates, and project documentation
- Anticipate project risks, delays, and challenges and implement solutions
- Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier pricing when required
- Coordinate material purchasing, deliveries, and site logistics
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, health and safety requirements, and company standards
- Manage deficiencies, inspections, close-out documentation, and project completion
- Mentor and support junior Project Managers and site personnel when required
- Work closely with estimating, accounting, administration, and senior management
- Provide regular project performance and financial updates to management
Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years of construction project management experience
- Proven experience managing large or complex construction projects
- Strong background in residential, commercial, renovation, or restoration construction
- Insurance restoration experience is considered a strong asset
- Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and budgeting
- Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage project profitability and control costs
- Professional and confident when dealing with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and employees
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with construction management or estimating software is an asset
Requirements
- Bilingual in French and English
- Valid driver's licence
- Access to a vehicle
- Strong construction industry experience
- Ability to travel between project sites throughout the Montreal area
