Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency in food and beverage service, and the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining professionalism. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Clover are highly valued. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest experience
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Follow all sanitation protocols to ensure safe food handling and service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills for guest interactions and teamwork
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
