Job Summary
Gateway Chevrolet Buick GMC is looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Evening & Saturday Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our dealership, you will play a key role in creating a positive first impression while ensuring our front desk operations run efficiently.
The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position involves managing front desk responsibilities, providing exceptional customer service, handling incoming calls, and supporting administrative functions during afternoon, evening, and Saturday hours.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and visitors with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries and ensuring every guest has a positive experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Perform data entry, filing, document organization, and other clerical duties.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, confirmations, and administrative support.
- Support various dealership departments with general office tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with basic bookkeeping or office administration when required.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sales staff, service advisors, and management.
- Complete additional administrative duties as assigned to support daily dealership operations.
Qualifications
- Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional phone etiquette and a positive, customer-first attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer applications.
- Experience with Google Workspace or QuickBooks is considered an asset but is not required.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Automotive dealership experience is an asset but not required.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Approximately 12:00 PM until dealership close
- Saturday availability is required
- One scheduled day off each week
